Fr 1.300
Categories: ,

Swiss chard, also in the Amaranthaceae family and species Beta vulgaris subsp. vulgaris,
is closely related to beets. It features large, dark green leaves with striking white, red, or
yellow stems and veins. The plant can grow up to 60 cm tall, with leaves reaching 25–50 cm
in length and arranged alternately on thick, juicy stalks. Packed with vitamins A, C, K,
magnesium, and antioxidants, Swiss chard supports vision, bone strength, and
detoxification. It’s often sautéed with garlic or added to soups and quiches. Best kept in the
fridge, it should be wrapped in a slightly damp cloth to stay crisp.
