Thyme, also from the Lamiaceae family, species Thymus vulgaris, is a low-growing herb native to
Southern Europe. It grows up to 40 cm tall with woody stems and tiny oval leaves 0.5–1.5 cm long.
Thyme contains thymol, vitamin C, and manganese, supporting respiratory health and fighting
bacteria. It flavors soups, meats, and vegetables. Store fresh thyme wrapped in a damp cloth in the
fridge or dry for long-term use.
