Sunflower, from the Asteraceae family, species Helianthus annuus, originated in North America. The
tall plant reaches 1.5–3.5 meters with large, rough, ovate leaves 10–40 cm long and bright yellow
flower heads up to 30 cm wide. Sunflower seeds are rich in vitamin E, selenium, and healthy fats,
promoting heart and skin health. Seeds are eaten raw, roasted, or ground into sunflower flour or oil.
Store seeds in a cool, dry place in airtight containers.
